Just in time for warmer weather, Goo Goo Cluster and Hattie Jane's Creamery have partnered to release a new line of ice cream flavors inspired by the three varieties of Goo Goo's classic candy. The line officially debuted in early March, but due to the impact of COVID-19, the two brands decided to re-launch the partnership on Friday, May 22 to coincide with the reopening of Goo Goo's storefront.
"Over the years, we've had numerous requests from guests for Goo Goo ice cream, and it was very important to us to find a partner who was committed to a quality product that would highlight the flavors of each of our three classic varieties,” explained Beth Sachan, Goo Goo Cluster’s vice president of sales & marketing.
The collaboration's new ice cream flavors include:
• The OG: Vanilla base, salted caramel, double fudge, marshmallow cream
• Pecan: Butter Pecan base, whiskey caramel, double fudge, marshmallow cream
• Peanut Butter: Chocoholic base, peanut butter rounds, Peanut Butter Goo Goo pieces
The three new flavors will be a mainstay at the Goo Goo Shop & Dessert Bar and are available to order in a waffle bowl or by the half-pint. Both Hattie Jane's locations will feature The OG flavor for a limited time now through early July as part of their summer flavor lineup.
“As local brands originating in the Nashville area, a collaboration with a Southern icon like Goo Goo was an ideal fit for us. We focused on creating a product with new elements that was truly an ode to the Goo Goo flagship flavors we know and love,” Claire Crowell, founder and co-owner of Hattie Jane’s, said. “We are excited to become increasingly involved in the Nashville community as we prepare to open our third location in Fifth + Broadway’s Assembly Food Hall.
Guests can try the new ice cream flavors by visiting the Goo Goo Shop & Dessert Bar in downtown Nashville. Curbside pickup is now available and orders can be placed online or by calling 615-490-6685.
